I was born and raised in South Korea until 40 years of age when he landed in Canada as an immigrant with my family. It was the first time in my life to cross country ski in Canada. I and my wife suddenly fell in love with this winter activity. It wasn’t long before I converted from a recreational xc skier to a professional career as instructor, coach and management. I passionate about youth programs for their long term development to become competition career or even become adult with life sport.

I have been a Nordic ski instructor and coach with Cypress Nordic for three years delivered youth and adult ski lessons, roller ski and biathlon programs.

I teach because I enjoy meeting people and sharing one of my greatest passions-cross country skiing. When I am not on skis, I love trail running, nordic walking, and photographing. I spend my summer doing roller skiing on various Medicine Hat trails.
